Batch
- New! Added support for Sharepoint Online (Sharepoint hosted by Microsoft/Office 365)
- New! Added support for sizing and hiding columns in exported XLS/XLSX files; these new settings are found in the batch-specific INI settings in the [XLS/XLSX] group
- New! Automatic Backups; we now do automatic backups monthly; we back up your critical files, zip them, and save them to your Jeff-Net\Report Runner Batch\Auto-Backups folder. This will give you a restore point should you need it. We also upload these monthly backups to a encrypted and secure DropBox cloud folder for off-site backup. If you want to disable this, once you install the update and start the application, there will be new JNRRB.INI settings added to the bottom of the file under [Auto-Backups] group. Note, the backups do not add any start-up time or delays in the application. The backup is handled in a sub-process that is shelled out to during start-up, and it only happens once a month.
- New! Added support for "legacy" CSV exports; the newer Crystal runtime engine does CSV exports different than older versions of Crystal Reports; SAP has created a way to allow a legacy CSV export to be done and we now support it; it can be toggled on using your batch-specific INI settings under the Other [Options] menu; LegacyCSVExportOnOrOff=ON
- New! Added the ability to clone multiple copies of a job (previously you could only clone one copy of a job); there is a drop-down and select option on the Ok and Clone button in the job window now
- Updated Twitter exports to work with new OAuth requirements
- Updated temp files to automatically be deleted after 7 days (it was previously 30 days); and some temp files created during batch runs are now deleted after 2 days (it was previously 7 days)
- Updated log files to automatically be deleted after 35 days (it was previously 60 days)
- Updated automation log files (JNRRA*) to be deleted after 3 days (it was previously 60 days); these log files built up and were specifically causing long delays in starting Report Runner Batch, as well as, running Report Runner Web Portal reports
- Fixed a bursting bug related to commas in numeric fields
- Upgraded the "normal" Sharepoint functions/code (old Sharepoint support); we do not expect any issues with this, but the old functions are still there and we can enable them using an INI setting should you have any problems
- Updated output file clean-up routines to make sure file names don't have invalid characters in them (like commas)
- Added additional automatic error correction for a few routines
- Added new log file messages to help with debugging
- Added a "giant" log file message to indicate when password logging is enabled
- Added notes in batch-specific INI settings window and in the parameter editing window to provide more assistance on how to edit these settings; also added/modified a few of the help links within application
- Fixed a bug with a large number of parameters not displaying correctly in parameter edit window
- Modified File exporting filename validation to allow for jnOutputFile as a filename; some users wanted to enter this manually when editing the job window so they would know they were utilizing that functionality
- Updated news download source filename
