QUESTION: I am viewing a report with saved data. I do not see a way to refresh the report. It's available in Crystal Reports. Why not your Viewer?
ANSWER: By default, the refresh button is hidden in the Viewer when you click on [View Report with Saved Data]. This allows report administrators to distribute reports to users without the end user being able to refresh the report data. This is done for security purposes. There are many INI settings that allow you customize the Viewer. Look for
HideRefreshButtonForSavedData in the
JNRRV.INI file. You can enable the button to be seen for reports with saved data by changing the "1" to a "0".
