This release of Web Portal requires .Net 4.8 (or 4.8.1).
Do not update unless you're already on .Net 4.8 or .Net 4.8.1 (most any modern machine should be already). We are just being extra careful in warning you.

Web Portal:
- Update: Updated the Web Portal and Administrator interfaces for phones, tablets, and current desktop browsers (made it much more mobile responsive). These updates also improves the iOS Web Portal app interface. You can see this new mobile responsiveness in action by opening our demo site (https://reports.reportrunner.com ID/PW of "demo") on a mobile device. If anything is not formatted correctly, do a Shift-Reload and/or clear your browser cache.
- Update: Updated legacy jQuery versions 1.4.1, 1.5.x, and 1.7.2 to jQuery 3.7.1. Updated jQuery UI versions 1.8.11 and 1.8.19 to jQuery UI 1.14.2. Added jQuery Migrate 3.6.0 for compatibility. Updated Ajax Control Toolkit 4.1.60919.0 to 20.1.0.0. These updates include fixes for published security vulnerabilities in the older components.
- Update: Removed a number of old and unused browser files, including jQuery files Flash/ActiveX browser code.
- Update: Improved popup windows, navigation, field spacing, loading messages, keyboard support, and general interface consistency throughout Web Portal end user interface and Administrator interface.
- Update: Improved security around category image uploads, report and PDF links, displayed report information, directory diagnostic logging, and the Web Portal XML data file.
- Update: Improved MFA code generation and handling when a verification email cannot be created or sent.
- Update: Improved report parameter and picklist handling, including date, date-range, cascading, file, and database picklists.
- Update: Improved the Administrator report editor, including report validation, cloning, custom output formats, report instances, and static reports.
- Update: Made additional reliability, validation, accessibility, and compatibility improvements throughout Web Portal.
- NEW: Added an
EnableLogFile web.config setting. Set it to 1 to enable logging. Any other value disables logging. When enabled, the ErrorLog.txt file is created automatically if it does not already exist (previously you had to create this file manually to enable logging).
- Bug Fix: Corrected an uncommon report-results issue that could occur with certain report links.
- Bug Fix: Corrected several Administrator interface issues involving user fields, group sorting, category images, dictionary text, dialogs, and action buttons.
- Bug Fix: When creating a new static report in Administrator, opening the static-report file browser no longer hides Report Name, Category, or the other upper settings. The file browser can also be closed or reopened without selecting a different file.
