Web Portal:

  1. NEW: Web Portal now supports LDAPS (usually over port 636). The configuration in the web.config file is different than LDAP, but it is clearly documented.
  2. NEW: Added a system web template named Static_Report.xml; choosing this template will format the report window immediately as a static report (link to report or URL). Previously you had to click a check box, and it wasn't as intuitive.
  3. NEW: Should you have any issues with getting LDAPS to work, we have a simple testing application for LDAPS we (Support) can send you. You enter the settings, and it will test everything from site URL, to certificate, to port, to administrator ID to user ID.
  4. Updated: We tweaked a few text strings here and there, and made a couple buttons in Settings screen bigger. If you see any buttons that do not looked sized correctly, remember to do a hard refresh in your browser (Ctrl/Shift F5).

---

This update requires running the updater or full installer (contact us). You should BACKUP your current Web Portal directory before running the installer (just to be safe). Your data is 100% SAFE, though.

We do not have any kind of patch/updater for this release. 2030.5z requires running the full installer.

---

If you run the full installer on an existing installation, the only files you need to re-edit after running the full installer are any custom logo you're using and any custom settings in web.config (like LDAP/Active Directory settings). Note, the installer now automatically makes a backup of the web.config file (.bak) so you'll be able to reference previous settings there.

  1. Please contact us for the full installer (email your contacts or open a ticket to Support).
  2. Back up your existing Web Portal directory and sub-directories of course.
  3. Run the full installer and pick your custom template/skin.
  4. Edit web.config and set any custom settings (like Active Directory, Administrator password, or SMTP settings).
  5. Re-setup your logo and background image.

As a reminder, as of release 2020.5q, pre-built skins are available. If none of the built-in templates/skins work for you, we now offer branding of your customer-facing portal 100% FREE. Just send us your logo, and we'll do the rest. If you have specific colors you would like included, just let us know, but generally it's best to simply pull the primary and secondary colors from your logo.

By the way, here's what the quick look at the custom templates/colors/skins...
