Batch
- Urgent, critical update. We have had additional random issues with JNRRB.INI corruption (that we reported on our last 2012.28 update). When the corruption occurs, Report Runner Batch will not start, and JNRRB.INI must be restored for the application to restart successfully. We have been working hard on a solution. We believe we've solved it. The corruption happens randomly during startup, when JNRRB.INI is being written to. It seems sometimes, the INI file is not written to immediately (there's some kind of "delayed write"). We've added a procedure to process the writing immediately. To test this most recent fix/update, we ran out-of-the-norm testing, and there have been no issues. To test, we scheduled 5 batches to kick off at exactly the same time and run every minute for two hours. Note, we do note recommend this kind of scheduling per se, but our testing worked flawlessly.
