On October 1st, 2022, Microsoft is disabling basic authentication (via ID and password) to Exchange Online and Outlook. This means POP (used with Report Runner Event Server Mail Rules) and IMAP (appending sent mail messages in Report Runner Batch) will stop working unless you update to use OAuth authentication (see below). SMTP is supposed to continue working with ID and password, but I'm guessing they will eventually disable that, too.
See KB article here from Microsoft:

Do not worry as Report Runner has you covered. As of release 2030.840/845, we ***support OAuth authentication (unique token(s) you approve for Report Runner via a web browser). While making this change for Microsoft, we have also implemented OAuth authentication for Google Gmail, too. We have added OAuth support for SMTP, IMAP, and POP.
We have tested this new OAuth configuration about as much as we can with Microsoft and Google testing accounts. If you would like to give it an early look, we will be posting a "beta" version on the downloads page. We put "beta" in quotes, because we consider it a bit better than a standard "beta", but we can't guarantee perfection for such new code. We can promise to fix any problems immediately, though.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

*** Token Support - We support tokens as for 2030.840/845, but there's still a lot of testing to do with this feature (so we consider this specific feature to be currently in BETA testing).
