ERROR: Microsoft ODBC Error - Logon Failed. I can't view my report.
EXPLANATION: After clicking the VIEW button the report is processed and then this error appears... "Logon Failed. Details : IM002:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] data source name not found and no default driver specified."
Your report is based on a DSN (ODBC connection / data source). That DSN is not set up on the PC you're trying to run the report on. Talk with whomever made the report to get the DSN set up on the Viewer PC. Once that is set up, you should be good to go.
Sometimes a DSN exists on your machine, but it's named differently than the DSN than the report was based on. You can use the Override DSN option to run the report. Just click on Override DSN and enter the name of the DSN on your PC.
With the latest version of our Viewer, there is a button to display the DSNs that are configured on the PC the Viewer is on. This should help in determining if a DSN is spelled correctly or exists on a machine or not.
