It's easy to archive report output in Report Runner Batch. A common archive request is to email a report and retain a copy of it in an output folder.

Just follow these simple steps:

  1. In your Global Settings/Options, click on the Archive tab and configure your base archive folder. You can override the base location in any job if you need to, but most of our customers keep the base folder and simply change the folder where it save or generate per job.
  2. Add your job to whatever batch and set it to email as whatever filetype.
  3. At the bottom of all Job edit windows (in green) are the options to set the job to Archive to a folder. There are many folder naming formats. You can type in a manual value or pick from the dynamic date-based variable folders in the drop-down list. To archive the current jobs output, simply check the archive option.

That's it. Once configured, everytime the job runs, it will archive a copy based on your settings.

Note, if you have a random need to output the file to a different base folder than the archive folder, you can type in a full folder path in the folder drop-down area (ie. c:\some other path\here\or\there).
